As EPPs prepare for the 2021-22 cohort of novice teacher candidates to join them for summer programming, we acknowledge that many programs are still grappling with COVID restrictions; planning virtual and/or hybrid coursework for Summer 2021; and trying to navigate best practices to ensure effectiveness.
CTAPP strives to provide support where possible, and we have collected a series of (mostly free!) resources geared towards supporting novice teacher candidates in a virtual setting. The document breaks down resources into a few areas:
Opportunities to Practice Foundational Skills
Application of Instructional Materials
Collaboration with PK-12 Partnership Districts and LEAs
Additional Resources
As this is a collection of documents from a variety of sources, CTAPP seeks to capture valuable resources and keep them in one easy to access place. Multiple resources were shared from The Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System (T-TESS), TeachingWorks at University of Michigan, US PREP, Seattle Teacher Residency (STR), and Teacher Education by Design (TEDD).
